"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
-Proverbs 3:5-6
Simply do what it says.
It's easier said than done.
LET GO, LET GOD.
Peace out!

You Matter.
I may never become president. I may never become a famous movie star. And I'll probably never become rich and get to live in luxury. BUT, I am a Child of God. As a follower of Jesus Christ, I am definitely VIP. I'll live in luxury in heaven. I matter. And so do you.
The church is the body of Christ. It's not the building itself, it's the people, the children of God. Look at it like an actual human body. Everyone, including you & me, have a specific job with a specific purpose. In other words, we all have a "spiritual gift." The Holy Spirit will work through you to help others grow in the Lord. Not everyone will be preachers or teachers. Not everyone can sing or play instruments. Not everyone can carry themselves as gracefully and loving to others as some. You will discover what your calling or gift is. Let God show you, yo.
*Just remember, it's NOT ABOUT US. It's all about Him, and His glory.*

Verses 4-6
"4) There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5) There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6) There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men."
Verses 12-19
"12) The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. 13) For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14) Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. 15) If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. 16) And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. 17) If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18) But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19) If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20) As it is, there are many parts, but one body."
Question of the day: What if every Christian was like me? Stop & ask yourself that today. (Verse 19-20)

Parable: The Hidden Treasure and the Pearl.
Matthew 13:44-46
"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it."
This parable to me was a bit confusing. I read it like 14 times and was like, "WHAAAA?"
Lol, but now I understand it. Well, this is what I got out of it...
First, it's not saying that you or anyone else can buy their way into heaven.
Not financially, not by good deeds, there is just no way anyone can do that. (Romans 4:4-5 & Galatians 2:16) Jesus ALREADY paid that price by suffering on the cross. Thankfully. It's a free gift through faith. NOW, in Zechariah 14:5,9 (Old Testament), it says that when God's kingdom comes, its supreme value will be obvious to EVERYONE. But, we're still in the "mystery" phase of heaven, therefore only some see its true value now...through faith. That's just my opinion.
What now? We, as Christians, need to view heaven for what its worth...now. We need to have the faith of the mustard seed (Matthew 13:31-32) to see heaven as our destination, our home. We need to realize that this world is just a resting place. IT DOESN'T END HERE! Heaven is home to those who realize its worth through the faith of the unseen. We MUST admit our moral failure as human sinners and humble ourselves before God and invite Him in to our hearts...forever. Those who do this are the ones who see the precious treasure or pearl. Your valuation of the gospel is determined by your own pride or humility.
God bless you and have a marvelous day!! :) Peace out.

This is Our Temporary Home.
"Old man, hospital bed
The room is filled with people he loves
And he whispers don't cry for me
I'll see you all someday
He looks up and says 'I can see God's face'
This is my temporary Home
It's not where I belong
Windows and rooms that I'm passin' through
This was just a stop,on the way To where I'm going
I'm not afraid because I know this was
My temporary home."
-Carrie Underwood "Temporary Home"
That's so good to be reminded of. This is our temporary home. We're going to make it to our real home one of these days...and we'll fall at our Saviour's precious feet. I'm so excited. Really, I am. You should be to! :)
Meditate on these verses:
Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths."
*Every time I pray, I ask God to give me HIS understanding--not the world's understanding, not my understanding (what I want to hear) because I don't want to waste time with God in His Word. I want to gain His knowledge and understanding because I want to know Him more and more. I want to read and learn about what He wants me to learn and know about.*
John 14:6
"I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me."
*This just brings me back down to earth every once and a while. There is NO OTHER WAY but through Him. You can't "favor" yourself into Heaven. You can't go to church enough to make yourself go to heaven. If you think this, you're only deceiving yourself. You can't be perfect either. You can only make it through Christ and His blood he shed for you on calvary's hill. This world gets to our head sometimes, but we can't let that stop us.*
Revelation 21:4 NIV
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
*This verse really just makes me so happy. I'm seriously just happy whenever I read it. Because there won't be anymore pain or sorrow, no tears to dim the eyes. That's something to celebrate and look forward to. We're gonna meet our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, face to to face, finally.*

Become Extraordinary.
So, I've been struggling lately with finding my "purpose" in life.
The purpose God has given me. And what I always come back to is to sing. To sing my heart out for GOD. Whether it be at church, in my room, on YouTube (lol), wherever. All I know that singing is my calling. What makes life so great is that God's opinion is the only one that counts, the only one I have to worry about.
I found myself just about 30 mintues ago realizing that God wants to use me and to shine His light through me. Not only me, but He wants to use you as well. To accomplish extraordinary things through us. Think about it, He sent his one and only son to this corrupt earth to die for our sins.
All throughout the Bible, God used ordinary people to do extraordinary things for Him. Take Joseph for example. Joseph was a dreamer, but was sold as a slave by his very own brothers out of pure jealousy. Joseph became Prime Minister
of Egypt. Joseph saved Israel from starvation & obsolescence.
The point I'm trying to make is that God has a purpose that ONLY
you can fill.
STOP trying to be someone else.
REALIZE that God is calling you to do your job.
ASK God to show you what your purpose is.
Maybe you read this for a reason, I don't know.
But I'm glad I got this out of my system.
God Bless You!
Read: Psalm 16:5-7 (NIV)
"Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance."
King David realized God's plan for him was a "delightful inheritance."
Still yet, David didn't know his future. None of us know what the future holds in store for us.
But as long as we look toward God for advice and guidance each and every day, He'll lead us to the "delightful inheritance" he's got planned for us.

God's Guiding Hand.
Every woman, man, and child is a candidate for making a mistake.
This is because of our sin-drenched DNA.
It's also because we have a tendency to forget this sin-nature,
and ignore the fact that we desperately need God's help.
Every minute, every hour, everyday.
The reality of this world is we are in a battle.
Sometimes I, along with everyone else, forget that--block it out of my mind when times get not so tough anymore.
It's like I've opened a door for pride to sneak on in.
Those who have chosen to follow Jesus have an enemy who prepares for a fight with us everyday.
It's no wonder we are blindsided by the results of our choices, we're in a fight we don't notice most of the time.
But I still have hope and I still try to be on guard as much as I can.
1 Peter 5:7-10 NIV
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast."
I hang on to the last part when the sadness of this world threatens to overwhelm me. No one is immune to making a mistake that ends with devastating consequences. No one, no one, no one. It's reminds me that I need God's help every day. And that His grace is enough for me.
I've made a lot of mistakes in my life.
Some VERY life changing, but I know that God loves me.
I know that God is going to take care of me. I know this because he says he will.
